GIGIL issues full Work From Home setup, gives assistance to employees during the pandemic

GIGIL’s creativity is not limited to its viral campaigns. Creativity is applied in every aspect of operations, including where the agency spends its money and how it smartly saves what it earns.

One of the challenges the pandemic posed to the whole industry was the Work-From-Home Revolution. As lockdown policies were enacted, GIGIL management was quick on its feet to lower overhead costs. GIGIL renegotiated terms with the property management to be able to keep the space without paying rent.

During the first day of the lockdown announcement in 2020, Managing Partner Jake Yrastorza immediately announced on zoom that GIGIL will be quickly pivoting to a work from home setup.
The budget was then reallocated to optimize employees’ work-from-home conditions. Everyone was issued work-from-home allowances that can be used for a home internet connection, desks, chairs, electricity, and more.

GIGIL employees were quick to adapt to the setup (albeit some technical issues) and have made strides in performing quality work during the peak of the first wave of the pandemic in 2020. During that year, Filipinos were entertained by the Danes Cheese “Bacon Yan” commercials, Orocan “Kubeta Got Talent” and the award-winning highly-viral RC Cola “Whatever” campaign, to name a few.
